KLEDO CONSTRUCTION LTD.

Safety

It is management’s responsibility to establish and maintain systems, standards, policies and practices to ensure that all employees are aware of and accountable for Kledo’s commitment to our Health and Safety Program.

It is the responsibility of every supervisor to be knowledgeable of the Health and Safety Program and to educate and train their employees in its policies, practices and procedures. They perform regular safety inspections, investigate accidents, near misses and reported hazards, and actively participate in the Health and Safety Program by ensuring their employees remain healthy, safe and secure.  They set a good example for their employees.

It is the duty of all employees to follow safe work practices and procedures and to actively participate in making their work environment safe and productive for themselves, as well as their co-workers. All employees are encouraged to take ownership of this Health and Safety Program and contribute their suggestions for improving safety on the job.

The Joint Health and Safety Committee promotes safe work practices, provides recommendations for health and safety issues, reviews new practices and procedures, participates in site inspections and, where needed, assists in incident investigations.

Contractors and Suppliers are responsible for ensuring their employees (and sub contractors) work within the parameters of their own health and safety program and Kledo’s Health and Safety Program.

The individual has the right to refuse to perform any unsafe act, or work in any unsafe condition and report to their supervisor immediately.  This includes the unsafe condition of tools, equipment and work areas.  No employee shall be punished for refusing to do unsafe work and all concerns will be resolved in accordance with the OH&S Regulations.

Kledo Construction Ltd. employees are responsible for complying with all applicable government regulatory requirements and Kledo’s Health and Safety Program.  Kledo Construction Ltd. considers safety as a shared responsibility among all its employees and is a continuous process of improvement towards an accident free workplace.
